my USA property – buyer agent review

Each week I will be doing a very quick review of 1 Australian or US-based property buyer agents – week 1: my USA property.

I tend to shy away with any service or company with an ‘upfront’ fee.  In this case, my USA property is asking for over $3000 just to sign up!  There is no guarentee that they will have a property that suits your budget and investment goals. Furthermore, you only get a chance to see only 8 property examples on their front page.

I’ve read a lot about the lack of communication from my USA property on many online forums, which worries me a bit.  I think my greatest problem with this company is the upfront fee & no guarentee that you would actually get a property you like – who knows how many people they have on their systems applying for each property they send to clients?

The fee added to each property is $3,250.  Have you used my USA property before? If so, let me know your experiences!

My recommendation: If you are going to use a buyer’s agents – I think you can do better than my USA property.

    $3000.00 to sign up ???

Ok … so they’re NOT offering a guarantee of a suitable property…. so what exactly ARE they offering for $3000.00 ?

Hmmmm …. I’m a little confused ~ they want ME to pay THEM for having MY name on THEIR records ?

I were a member at MyUSA. We paid $500 up front giving full access to listed properties ect.
The balance $3250 paid on closing of the property. They also charge $2000 to set up LLC ect.
I found them at be aggressive in their selling methods. We were looking at buying 3 properties. They offered 3 to us over the internet and while reading through they wanted our ok to go ahead on the spot. We declined to allow DD research and walked away. We decided we didnt want to continue with MyUSA and requested our $500 refunded. We did get it bck some months later.
Overall I think they provide a legitimate service (now under different name). To me they were to much “buy it now ….. buy it now” for our liking.

Yeah I guess you have to be careful with a front up fee and willing to lose the up-front cash if it doesn’t work out.

Never pay a dime up front .. that is crazy google search the markets you like .The major teams will show up in searches…Then take the money these teams are charging and if you want to invest fly there and check the market out for you self…

    my two cents

Lol, what a scam. If it was a good company u could get the listings on a website and have somebody to correspond with in the states. I can’t believe they prey on people with the buy now scam. Just finding a real estate agent and a good title company is all you need. Internet sites always have the worst pictures also.

They have rebraded and left alot of clinets out of pocket. Myusaproperty is now http://www.uspsa.com.au/. I have bought of myusaproperty and now uspsa which stands for US Property Sales have taken over there shop. The owners are well known Dodgy Gold Coast real estate sprukers. They will run the same model of business yet again no doubt. Promise the world and deviever very little.
